Where the woods end

is where I want to be

where sky and mountain

is all you see

where fir and pine

is what you smell

and walk the line

of a little worn trail

to watch the fluttering

of mountain birds

while listlessly listening

to the best sounds heard

the sounds of silence

amongst the pines

the sound of confidence

in rays of sunshine
