Be My Delight

Be my delight, oh, my one True Song
As a lamp to my feet, as I stumble along.
Let my eyes never wander,
Let my heart never fail
Though the worries of the world
Might try to pull asunder
What Your hands set sail.
So many cares, yet none of them You
So many weights, though none of them true.
Be my delight, oh, True Lover of my soul
As the light to my vision, the sight to my faith
That these feet would keep walking
And to You find a way
Never to waver, never to sway.
But always to seek, always to find
That You are enough
And You only are kind.
Be my delight, Oh, Alpha and Omega
As a consumer of identity, as Prince of Peace.
Let not these feet trip, or this tongue to slip
In praise and worship, in repentance,
For the joy of You is new each morning;
The reality of Your love greater than the sea.
And in all and through all, forever You will be.
